Tottenham’s showed an impressive performance against Real Madrid at the Bernebeu on Tuesday night, and kept their unbeaten start to this year’s Champions League clash.
A 1-1 draw was no less than the Spurs deserved after taking the lead in the first half.
However, Spurs fans aren’t happy with Serge Aurier performance after he let Real Madrid back into the game. Tottenham took the lead in the first half through a Raphael Varane own goal in the 28th minute.
And Tottenham matched the European giants with counter-attacking tactics proving effective.
However, the 43rd minute, the former Paris Saint-Germain man made a reckless challenge on Toni Kroos in the penalty area.
It looked like the German had lost control of the ball but he tumbled over Aurier and the referee pointed to the spot.
Cristiano Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot and it gave his side a new-found impetus in the second half.
However, they couldn’t break Tottenham down and although a draw is a great result, some fans think it could have been more but for Aurier.
Football Weeks has rounded up some of the best tweets from Tottenham fans.

Aurier's a bit bombscare for me. Give Trippier that role every time.#COYS #REATOT

Whilst kroos did dive for it, Aurier shouldn't be coming off his feet in the box

Aurier will cost us more points than he will earn. #clown 🤡

A good start by Spurs, but a stupid challenge by Aurier in the box. Looking forward to the 2nd half, and hoping for the best.

can we please stop using Aurier! All he ever does is make sliding tackles and bad crosses ever since we signed him.
