Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson will reportedly be up for a loan move in January – and Rangers should jump at the chances of bringing him to Ibrox on a short-term basis.
The Mirror report that the Premier League giants are planning to loan out the 20-year-old attacker when transfer window re-opens in January.
It is understood that the Anfield outfits want to give the Wales Under-21 international more time away from the club to experience regular first-team football and that Championship side Barnsley are interested on the deal.
However, Pedro Caixinha’s side should try to jump the queue and add Wilson to their squad to give it a much-needed lift in the final third.
The attacker is recognized for being an attacking sensation in Liverpool’s youth teams and has netted five goals in three matches this season in the Premier League 2 division.
Wilson usually operates from the right wing and possesses brilliant dribbling accuracy that destroy defences.
The Gers could do with added competition out wide and Wilson could compete alongside the likes of Josh Windass and Daniel Candeias for a starting position.
Wilson will be will be willing to prove himself where he is sent out on loan in the second half of the season would gain the needed top-flight experience under Pedro Caixinha at Rangers.
F/W’s view:
Harry Wilson is a highly-rated prospect at Anfield and is ready to register his place in senior football, but is not quite ready to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plan.
Rangers could be the perfect springboard for him and it would make sense for both parties.
