Manchester United welcome Arsenal to Old Trafford in Sunday’s Premier League clash and are in fine form ahead of the fixture, having recently booked their place in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
Victory for the Red Devils against Arsenal this weekend would boost their chance of finishing second in the table.
Jose Mourinho‘s men are currently two points ahead of third-placed Liverpool with two games in hand and all but seal a runners-up spot in the league if they can overcome their travel-sick opponents.
Arsene Wenger‘s men are primed for a sixth-placed finish and could make a number of changes with one eye on Thursday’s Europa League semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid.
While the main focus on Sunday will be on Alexis Sanchez playing against his former club for the first time, Arsenal will have to be very careful of the threat Lukaku possesses.
The Belgium striker has been criticised for below-par performances against top-six opposition, but he has proven his critics wrong since the turn of the year with man-of-the-match performances against Liverpool and Chelsea.
The former Everton centre-forward will be hoping for another scintillating performance to add to his impressive 29-goal tally.
Just like Lukaku, Lacazette struggled for form during the middle of the season where the Arsenal striker went cold in front of goal.
However, much of this woes could be associated with a knee problem for which he underwent a surgery for in February, as he’s since netted seven goals in as many games.
Lacazette found the net against United in December, though in a losing game, and has 16 goals in his debut campaign in England.
Manchester United have dominated this fixture in the past. In the Premier League, Arsenal haven’t won at Old Trafford since 2006, and their woeful away form this season (3 away wins in 16 league games) could mean the hosts come out on top again.
With the Gunners set to make changes to the first-team, Mourinho’s men should end the fixture by a comfortable scoreline.
