Serie A champions Juventus could try to re-sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea this summer. The Spanish international previously played for the Italian giants between 2014 and 2016, scoring and creating 46 goals in 93 games in all competitions.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Juve manager Max Allegri is eyeing a reunion with Morata as the Old Lady are looking to strengthen their attack.
Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic have been leading the Bianconeri attack over the past few years, but the pair are in their 30s now and it appears Juve are on the lookout for a replacement.
The Italian’s might struggle to bring Morata back to Turin, however, given the striker only joined Chelsea 10 months ago from Real Madrid. Morata’s form has been an issue in England too, scoring just 14 goals from 41 appearances in all competitions and going 13 games without a goal recently.
Antonio Conte future at Chelsea could dictate what Morata does, with the Blues manager potentially on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer as Chelsea look set to end the season outside of the top-four. The Londoners currently sit 10 points behind both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the table.
Morata is likely to start for Chelsea against relegation-bound Southampton on Saturday, April 14, a week before the two clubs lock horns in the FA Cup semi-final.
