Juventus are said to be preparing to pounce on Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil if Manchester United fail in their pursuit of signing the Germany international, according to Italian news outlet Corriere Dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper claim that Juventus are monitoring Ozil’s situation if the conditions are economically ideal, which leaves Manchester United still winning the race for his signature.
The same reports from the Italian outlet believes Juve will compete with the Red Devils if they choose to submit a £35million bid for Ozil.
The Old Lady, per the report believed having Sami Khedira in their rank, who is a friend of Ozil, may help them secure his signature.
Definitely no. The report makes it seem like Juve are only willing to sign the creative midfielder once he’s available for free, which exit is the worst case scenario for the Gunners.
If the playmaker is to leave Arsenal then ideally Manchester United saving the cast to secure Ozil’s signing in January is the better option, even if they’re Premier League rivals.
Ozil’s just few months on his current contract with Arsenal and chances of a top European club signing him and getting him for free becomes more likely.
The Serie A title holders will no doubt be among a host of clubs to sign him if he becomes a free-agent and given Khedira presence, they may have the edge.
