Our captaincy article helps you choose the right captain for the upcoming FPL Gameweek 27. This year I am again using my experience and data from the RMT Adviser’s algorithm to make my recommendations.
The RMT Advisor has Spurs forward Harry Kane as its top projected pick this week and while I am not going to captain him myself I can see why the advisor likes Kane so much.
Kane scored his 22nd league goal of the season when he scored his stoppage time penalty at Anfield last weekend and up next is North London rivals Arsenal in the Saturday lunch time kick off.
Kane has an excellent home record against the Gunners having scored 4 goals against them in previous home meetings.
The Rmt advisor has Kane goals as follows: 1 goal in 35.2%, 2 goals in 18.6% and 3 goals in 6.3% of its simulations.
Aguero was always going to be a popular pick this week and the Rmt advisor has a lot of confidence in him too placing him just behind Kane in its projections for points in this round of FPL.
After a hattrick against Newcastle 3 game weeks ago Aguero has been somewhat of a disappointment for his owners in the last 2 games with just the 1 goal to show for his efforts.
Up next is a home fixture against Leicester and this is a game that will have owners of Manchester City assets looking on with great expectations. Manchester City will be looking to maintain their lead at the top of the table and will fancy their chances especially with transfer deadline day target Riad Mahrez still off sulking because the clubs couldn’t agree a deal.
Aguero has 7 goals in his last 4 home matches and will be confident of adding to his 17 goals in the league this season.
The Rmt advisor has Aguero goals as follows: 1 goal in 38%, 2 goals in 14.8% and another home hattrick in 4.1% of its simulations.
Set and forget….I have said it for weeks now and Salah just keeps on delivering. Give Salah the armband and use all that time you would have spent thinking and pondering about who to captain in your FPL sides to do something far more productive.
Set and forget!
For those of you who do want to see how thr Rmt advisor has Salah for projected goals this week. Salah has 1 goal in 26.9%, 2 goals in 4.75% and 3 goals in just 1% of its simulations.
The final featured player this week is Chelsea Wing back/Striker Marcos Alonso. Alonso was rested for Chelsea’s horrendous defeat at Watford on Monday night so should be fit and raring to go this time.
Chelsea have been far from convincing lately and will need a big upturn in performance to ensure they don’t come unstuck again. Alonso loves to get forward and often gets to take free kicks near the opposition penalty area so always has a chance of getting on the scoresheet even if he doesn’t get a clean sheet.
I wouldn’t advise captaining him if you own him but I also wouldn’t rush to sell him either.
Salah was only 5th on the Rmt advisor list this week with another couple of Man City players ahead of him. Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne both come in ahead of him with 6.1 and 5.2 points respectively.
A couple of other players some of you may wish to consider this week are Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez (3.5 predicted points), who comes in fresh from scoring his first goal for the club and has a relatively kind fixture against Newcastle or Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson (4.07 points).
