Reports all around Europe have been claiming both La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli. The England international has been in sensational form the the Spurs this season and now reports according to Daily Star via Spanish publication Diario Gol claimed that the talented 21-year-old forward prefers a move to Barcelona over Real Madrid as he would like to alongside Lionel Messi. While Tottenham will be desperate to hold on to their star man, the Englishman himself said a move away from White Hart Lane could be possible in the next transfer window.
“You can never say what’s going to happen in the future,” Alli said.
“No one knows. No one can predict it.”
Alli has really been making the headlines with series of top performances in the past few months. he is the breathing heart of this very impressive Tottenham side and he has contributed heavily both in terms of scoring goals and creating assists. This season, he has bagged 21 goals, and he has been tipped to become even better than the likes of Premier League legends Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and David Beckham. Still in his 20’s, the youngster has the ability to become one of the best football players in years to come.
Although, he remains a Tottenham player at the moment, but refusing interest from top top clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona might seem an hard decision to make. With both La Liga sides desperate to sign the Englishman, he desire to play with Messi might well be in favour of Barcelona. Moving to either of Bernabeu on Nou Camp will represent a major coup for these two arch rivals as they are both strongly interested in strengthening their midfield.
Should they table a bid of over £70m for his services, there are assurance that he will leave Tottenham in this transfer window. Barca have a more serious need to strengthen their midfield and it will be interesting to see if they push ahead and complete the deal for the promising youngster this summer.
An interesting player still in his 20’s had already made the list of the best midfielder in the world. He looks like the ‘real deal’ and Barca should break the bank for his service on his preference to play with Messi and complete the signing as soon as possible.
