Reports: Real Madrid accept €60 million bid from PSG for Marcos Llorente

According to reports, Real Madrid have agreed to mouth-watering deal for highly rated Real academy product, Marcos Llorente. The on-loan Alaves midfielder has featured 26 games in the La Liga and has earned a lot of eyeballs for his solid performances from all around Europe.

Marco Llorente, a graduate of Real Madrid academy graduate, is on a one-year loan to Alaves and has been in brilliant form for the Spanish side this season. A defensive midfielder by nature, Llorente breaks the play up very well, and has an eye for a forward pass.

Also, insistence is perhaps one of his best quality. The 22-year-old’s tall stature and his ability to play pinpoint long balls have earned him comparisons with the reigning European champions and Liverpool legend Xabi Alonso.

Despite his brilliant talent, three world class midfielders in the form of Toni Kross, Luka Modric, and Casemiro are ahead of him at Bernabeu. This makes it difficult to see where the Spaniard will be lineup, sole reason why he was shipped out of Madrid on loan to Alaves early this season.

A move to the French capital would perfect for the midfielder, with Marco Veratti looks certain to leave at the end of the season. Llorente will the perfect long-term replacement for the Italian at Parc des Princes, he will gain more experience playing beside the likes of Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot.

It was reported that Zidane after taking over the reigns from Rafa Benitez at Madrid, stopped calling Llorente to train with the first team. It is quite a surprising decision given the 22-year-old talent.

With Real in pursuit of new midfielder acquisition in the summer, with the likes of Marco Veratti and Thiago linked, I believe it would be in Llorent’s interest to try and make a career far from Real Madrid.

A mammoth €60 million bid an uncapped Spanish international might be too much to turn down for Real president Florentino Perez. Given that the way to the first team might truly be blocked, he might be tempted to make the move on a personal level as well.

There is doubting the fact that Llorente is very talented, but with the experience, he has as a first team player, the price tag on him may weigh heavy on his shoulders.
