Arsene Wenger has spent over 20 years at Arsenal but the second decade of his tenure has seen him facing severe criticism than he could have probably imagined. There has been calls for his sack and it became rife aftermath the embarrassing 5-1 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

However, the 67-year-old is now expected to leave the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires at the end of this season. But he has maintained that he will still be a manager next season. Maybe somewhere else.

That being said we look at his possible destinations if he exit the London club.

1. Join the Chinese Revolution

The Chinese Super League is ready to take the football world by storm and are attracting global stars to the Asian country by the astronomical wages they offer. To lure a coach of Wenger’s calibre may not be a problem but it is left to see if the French coach would fancy a return to the Far East country having coached Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan.

2. International Football

Not sure which country he may end up with. Both France and England who have approached him in the past are no more vacant. Didier Deschamps job looks secure with the French national team while Gareth Southgate is just starting with the Three Lions.

3. Another Club

Managing another club in England is totally out of it. Juventus and Barcelona may be vacant at the end of the season. The Old Lady coach Massimilio Allegri is bookmakers favourite to Gunners next manager and Wenger could be heading in the opposite direction. Lius Enrique’s future at Barca has been thrown into uncertainty after PSG’s 4-0 thrashing of Barca in the Champion League. But it is not certain that the Catalans will be interested in his services.

4. A Return Home

Wenger has not managed any club in France in the last 23 years and there seems to be no vacant post in the Ligue 1 at the moment for the former Monaco coach.
