Arsenal welcome PSG to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday in the Champions League. Both clubs are locked on 10 points in the group and have already qualified for the knock-out stage but the match would decide who occupies the group summit. They drew 1-1 in the first leg in France.

Arsenal’s nemesis in recent seasons in the Champions League has been finishing in the second position and exiting the competition in the last 16 today. The match would present them a golden chance to top the table.

But Arsenal need to up their game if they are to take advantage of that. Their performances in their last two matches were not impressive. Against Man United, they struggled to get their rhythm together and United were the better side of the two despite their own epileptic performances.

Arsenal almost lost their unbeaten run until a late goal by Olivier Giroud kept it intact. Their opponent in the Champions League has been in fine form of recent.

The French club have won eight of their last nine games in all competition and have also kept clean sheets in four of their last five games across all competitions. PSG will be coming to the Emirates armed with that confidence and determination to top the group.

Arsenal have players that can perform at the highest and they only need to be at their best to avoid another disappointing season.

German playmaker Mesut Ozil needs to raise his game against the French champion. He went missing in the match against United, likewise Theo Walcott.

The Gunners may be boosted by the absence of PSG star Angel Di Maria, the Argentine reportedly picked up a hamstring injury but Arsenal should not use that as an excuse to be complacent.
