Ozil Gives Arsenal Condition For Signing New Contract

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Premier League Comments Off 23

Both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have apparently been holding Arsenal to a ransom as far as their contracts issues are concerned. The pair have been making audacious demands which they expect the club to meet before they will put pen to paper for contract extension.

A report once has it that Sanchez wants Wenger out of the club before he will a contract extension with a significant increment to be considered as well.

Negotiations have been on since the summer with no fruitful outcome. There has been different reports about the German World Cup winner demanding for over 100 per cent increase in wage, though Arsene Wenger said the contract issue is more than the money involved. And recently, there are other reports that Ozil want compatriot Julian Draxler at Arsenal before he will commit his future to the club.

The Sun reported that the midfielder has told Arsenal to sign Draxler. Coincidentally Arsene Wenger has been linked with Draxler since his days at Schalke before he moved to Wolfsburg last summer where he has found life rather too difficult and looking for an escape route. And they are ready to cough out up to £30 million to bring him to the Emirates stadium.

The Bundesliga side are also ready to cash in on the German midfielder. Arsenal may have to battle with European giants Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain who also interested in him.

Ozil has been in fantastic form for the Gunners this season, scoring nine goals in 21 appearances and Arsenal may have to dance to his tune if they don’t want to lose him.
