Łukasz Teodorczy – A good fit for Liverpool?

Having managed to land a qualification to the Champions League for the first time in over three years, Liverpool will be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market this summer. German manager Jurgen Klopp has no issue spending huge and he already has some name on his target list.

He has been eyeing some of the big names in Europe and one particular name that has been making rounds is Polish attacker Łukasz Teodorczyk. The Anderlecht has been on Liverpool’s radar for quite some time now and Klopp seemed convinced this is the right time to make his move and is already drafting a £10 million bid for him in the upcoming days. So here we consider if the 26-year-old is the ideal man for the Reds?

Roberto Firmino has been the first choice striker this season with Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi falling behind him in the pecking order. The English striker may be moving out of the club this summer but he is the best finisher at the club and deserves to be given another chance next season. Danny Ings is yet to land a spot in Klopp’s team and he could be the right man to add strength to his attack.

So where in Anfield would Teodorczyk fit? Capable of playing as a secondary striker, the 26-year-old has a record of 30 goals and five assists. A striker who has a menacing physique, likes to take charge of the penalty area. Teodorczyk is the right kind of attacker that is missing in the Reds squad at the moment.

He is a good finisher who knows how to hold on to the ball in dangerous areas. He has ease of finding the net and will add variety to Liverpool’s attack but he may have a hard time trying to be the first choice, which is highly unlikely.

At £10 million, he is exactly what Liverpool needs to add depth to their attack and he could be crucial to their title race and play in the Champions League next season. Adding him and Mohamed Salah, another Liverpool target, will end their quest to make their attack one of the best in the Champions League next season.

With Ings and Teodorczyk, Liverpool have enough substitute for their first team and unless a player leaves, the Reds have a set attacking lineup for next season. This summer looks the best time to finally make a move for the Polish star.
