Liverpool may be without their talisman Philippe Coutinho for the rest of this year. The Brazilian midfielder picked up an ankle injury during their 2-0 win over Sunderland in the Premier League over the weekend and will reportedly be out for 5-6 weeks.

His absence will surely be felt but Jurgen Klopp can still manage the situation perfectly without it affecting their title bid. The 24-year-old has been at the centre of the Red’s free-flowing attack this season and has formed a formidable partner with Saido Mane and fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino.

Fortunately, there are other ways to fill the void created his injury. Klopp can still integrate other players to fit in perfectly. We look at three possible options available for Klopp.

Firstly, the German boss can draft a central player into the position occupies by Coutinho in the front three. English midfielder Adam Lallana possesses such qualities to thrive in the area while someone else take up his central position. The former Southampton is presently injured but could return against Bournemouth this Saturday.

On the other hand, Klopp could bring in Divock Origi to the middle of the front three shifting Firmino out wide. The 21-year-old broke the deadlock against Sunderland and he has strength and creativity to add to the attack. He has been a super sub for Liverpool but he seems to ready for bigger roles.

And lastly, Klopp could bring Daniel Sturridge to the wing leaving Firmino in the middle.

However, of the three options available, the inclusion of Origi in the attack seems to be the best. He can hold off defenders and strong in the air. He will also bring fluidity to the attack and keep the fire burning.
