EFL Cup draw: Manchester United and Liverpool avoid each other in the semi-finals

Manchester United will play Hull City and Southampton who knocked out Arsenal will face Liverpool in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

Jose Mourinho’s side host the Tigers first at Old Trafford before they head to the KCOM Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Reds are set to travel to St. Mary’s for a much-anticipated clash with Claude Puel’s side for a place in the final.

Liverpool sailed through to the semi-finals following their 2-0 victory over Leeds United at Anfield on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, Hull made it through to the final four after defeating Championship leaders Newcastle 3-1 on penalties in a tense affair at the KCOM Stadium.

On Wednesday, Manchester United booked their place in the semi-finals with a 3-1 win over West Ham, while Arsenal were knocked out by Southampton at the Emirates.

The Saints were convincing 2-0 winners in north London against a Gunners side which had ten changes from the weekend.
